1:1 coaching

for high‑achieving students

whose test scores don’t tell the full story

What I help with

Primary: SAT / ACT performance

For high‑achieving students whose SAT/ACT scores lag their GPA, I help them:

  • Choose the right test (SAT vs ACT)
  • Build a test‑day system using full‑length timed practice exams
  • Review every miss to fix thinking and patterns, not just individual questions
  • Develop coping strategies for test anxiety so they can execute when it counts

Secondary: Advanced math & science test grades

For students doing well in class but underperforming on tests in courses like precalculus, calculus, chemistry, or physics, I help them:

  • Turn scattered studying into clear weekly plans
  • Use practice tests and textbook problems strategically
  • Build repeatable approaches for complex test questions

Same principles, different context.

Who this is not for

  • Last‑minute “our test is in 10 days, please fix it” emergencies
  • Students who refuse to do any work between sessions
  • Families looking for the lowest‑cost hourly tutor

This is a premium, low‑volume service. I’m bringing my A game for your student, and I expect them to show up with same commitment to their work.

How working together works

Step 1: Choose a time + answer a few questions (2–3 minutes)
You’ll first pick a time on my calendar for a 20‑minute fit call, then answer a few questions about your student (grade, recent SAT/ACT scores or advanced class performance, goals, key dates, and how willing they are to do weekly work).

Step 2: 20‑minute fit call

On this call, we’ll talk through:

  • Your student’s situation and goals
  • Whether SAT, ACT, or course‑specific coaching makes the most sense
  • What kind of plan and commitment would realistically be required

If I don’t think I’m the right fit, I’ll tell you plainly.

Step 3: Customized plan

If we decide to move forward, I’ll map out:

  • Session cadence (typically weekly 1:1)
  • Practice test expectations and review rhythm (for SAT/ACT) or test plan (for advanced classes)
  • How we’ll communicate about progress and adjust along the way

Step 4: Weekly execution + progress checks

Your student and I meet regularly, run the plan, and adjust based on real scores and real tests.
You stay in the loop without having to micromanage.

Capacity and expectations

  • I only work with a limited number of students at a time so I can stay deeply involved.
  • Most families commit through at least one major test date or a full grading period.
  • The investment is significant, and we’ll cover specifics on the call after we understand your goals and timeline.

  2. First, choose a day and time that works for you for a 20‑minute Parent Fit Call.
  3. After you pick a time, you’ll be prompted to answer a few quick questions about your student (grade, recent SAT/ACT scores or advanced class performance, goals, key dates, and how willing they are to do weekly work).
  4. Submit the form to confirm. You’ll receive an email with all the call details and a Zoom link.

Those questions help me come into the call prepared so we can spend our time on what actually matters for your student.
